Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced an historic package to boost construction sector for creating employment opportunities in the Country.

In his interaction with Newsmen in Islamabad, the Prime Minister further announced that the government will provide 30 billion rupees as subsidy for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

He stated that no Capital gain tax will be collected on sale of Houses and the government will grant tax rebate in collaboration with Provinces.

PM Imran khan announced that the government will not seek asset details of the investors in the construction industry.

He said, the government intends to constitute construction industry board and the construction sector and all other allied businesses will resume their operations from 14th of April.

He underscored that Pakistan being a developing country cannot afford lockdown as the country is already facing various economic challenges owing to Coronavirus Pandemic.

The Prime Minister said, the government announced a 220 billion rupees package for the underprivileged people and the registration to avail this package is already underway.

The Prime Minister hoped that the construction sector will provide jobs to millions of people

He also vowed to ensure coordination with Provinces saying that the center will not impose its decisions on provinces.
